When I redesigned my backyard garden last fall, I failed to include pollinator plants, so I corrected that this week. I used the Xerces Society's Pollinator Plants for the Mid-Atlantic Region as my shopping list, choosing different plants that bloom at different times, ensuring that something would be in bloom all season. I particularly like this list because it was created with small gardens in mind, which is why you may also find the link on my Stuff I Love page. As you can see in the photo below, the pollinator patch is already working.
