Fall garden festivals

Of course, Maryland and Virginia have their own state and county fairs, but I adore the DC State Fair!

Here are some local upcoming fall harvest festivals:

• Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello, September 9

• Harvest Festival at Riversdale House Museum, October 15

• Fall Harvest Family Days at Mount Vernon, October 21 and 22
