Community garden plot update

How's the community garden plot full of fall leafy greens doing? It's been having some ups and downs. The ups: everything is growing, yay! The downs: since I didn't use row cover as a protective barrier, the greens have been attacked by cabbage worms and harlequin bugs. I've been controlling them by handpicking the bugs and removing severely damaged leaves. The good news is that this planting is in for the long haul of fall, winter, and early spring. The pest pressure will lessen with the coming of cooler temperatures and the plants will recover by growing new leaves.

Kale and collard greens. The white spots are damage from harlequin bugs, the holes from cabbage worms.

Southern mustard greens, bok choy, and French sorrel with giant sunflower stems from the summer's planting.
